Visiting as a group

Group visiting Montacute House

Montacute was built to impress 400 years ago, and it still retains its power to make the jaw drop.

This grand mansion hosts portraits from the National Portrait Gallery, as well as nationally important textiles. There’s plenty of room to spread out: you could easily spend a whole day here, but don’t forget Barrington Court, Lytes Cary and Tintinhull Gardens are close by and can be the perfect combination.

Whether your interests are architecture or gardens, domestic interiors or faces from the past, you will find plenty to enthrall.

With easy access from the A303 and café, shop and book barn to enjoy, Montacute makes the perfect day out.

Especially for groups (15+ people):

  • Reduced admission price to house and garden
  • Free coach parking
  • Exclusive guided tours
