Polka Theatre at Morden Hall Park
Morden Hall Park is delighted to be hosting the Polka Theatre's 40th birthday celebrations this summer. Join us for workshops for children, a Woodland Crafts & Storytelling Picnic and an interactive exhibition.
We've got an enchanting series of drama, craft and storytelling drop-off workshops for children these summer holidays, all run by the experienced Polka Theatre team. Is your little one a budding actor, a craft-lover, a storyteller in the making or all three?
Woodland Crafts & Storytelling Picnic
Drop by for craft making and a special picnic:
Crafts: 11am – 4pm
Storytelling Picnic: 12 noon – 2pm
To celebrate Polka’s 40th birthday, pop into Morden Hall Park and join us for our special free event where you can create and make your own unique wish leaf or tree charm and hang it up for all to see. Or maybe decorate your own bird or woodland creature mask to take home.
Make sure you also pack your sandwiches (and your teddies too!) for our storytelling picnic. Families will be treated to stories inspired by Polka plays in the beautiful surroundings of Morden Hall Park. Suitable for families with children of any age.
Exhibition: Celebrating 40 years of Polka
As part of the Polka40 celebrations, Polka is presenting a free, hands-on exhibition for families in the Stableyard Gallery at Morden Hall Park. This Heritage Lottery funded collaborative project made possible with the help of a wonderful team of dedicated volunteers, offers children, parents and grandparents the chance to explore and interact with props, costumes and other gems from Polka’s colourful 40-year collection.
