Stableyard Gallery: A solo exhibition by Yvonne Russell
This exhibition is a free event and runs from Friday 19 October to Friday 2 November 2018. Open daily from 10am to 4pm.
About the exhibition
Yvonne Russell is showing her solo exhibition at the Stableyard Gallery. The exhibition includes a range of landscapes, taking inspiration from the beauty of Morden Hall Park.
Yvonne is our resident artist and works with a range from watercolour and oils demonstrating a talented use of different art materials.
About the artist
Yvonne took up painting because her friend’s husband died and she wanted a hobby. The original choices were weight watchers, yoga or painting. The friend thankfully chose painting.
Yvonne started a beginners watercolour class in 2000 and got hooked.
In 2001, she was painting outside Morden Hall and the park organiser asked Yvonne if she would like to be a resident artist and take a place when their artist left. She accepted the offer.
Yvonne often gets commissions for holiday scenic views and London landmarks.
Since then Yvonne has grown as an International artist selling everywhere from the USA to Australia, Italy to Nigeria, Scotland to New Zealand.
Yvonne Russell has had an interest in art since being at school.
