Shopping at Mottisfont
Our shop and plant centre can be found in the Welcome Centre, conveniently close to the car park. It's a beautiful space to browse, away from the stress of the high street. Discover exclusive, seasonal National Trust ranges, as well as products related to our events and exhibitions. You'll find second-hand books for sale in the Stables, too.
Our food and drink ranges are ideal for an aspiring cook, someone with a sweet tooth, or simply as a good excuse to indulge yourself. Pick up a pack of scrumptious biscuits, or a jar of unusual curd.
All of the National Trust’s food and drink is made in the UK; we also stock a spirits from the Isle of Wight Distillery as part of our local produce range.
Other local produce includes handmade, natural goat’s milk soap from Cyril’s Goat Shed, and you can buy firewood, kindling and other produce sustainably sourced from our ancient woodlands: grown, felled, seasoned and processed on site by our countryside team. All sales contribute towards our ongoing conservation efforts across the estate.
Home and garden
Discover designs inspired by the special places we look after with clothing, accessories and soft furnishings. The National Trust’s in-house designers take inspiration from our landscapes and properties, re-imagining their sketches and watercolours into bold and unique prints.
You can also bring beautiful patterns into your home with a range of pretty ceramics and other kitchen accessories.
We’ve introduced a new and exclusive laundry and household cleaning range, produced in small batches in Somerset using Exmoor water by family run business Greenscents. Allergy friendly, vegan and cruelty free our essential household cleaning range is safe for people, animals and our water ecosystems.
For gardeners, we stock tools, decorative pots, wildlife homes and a range of other outdoor accessories.
Next to the shop in the Welcome Centre, our plant sales area boasts a wide variety of seasonal plants for your own garden. If you're feeling inspired by Mottisfont's planting, pop by to take home some of your own blooms.
That book you’ve always meant to read may be waiting for you in the well-stocked second-hand bookshop in the stables. Every penny taken here goes back to helping us with our projects and conservation work.
Please note that the book shop is closed from Monday 21 - Friday 25 January while we carry out essential works in the Stables.
