Meet the maker

Artist Rebecca Hoy with some of her creations

As you explore the house this summer, don’t miss Nostell’s resident artist in the pop-up studio. Becca's creating an installation inspired by Nostell’s Etruscan vases; watch her work on selected days and have a go at some creative techniques yourself by dropping in to her autumn ‘meet the maker’ workshops.

About Becca Hoy

Becca is the designer of Leeds-based company Timid Elk. With specialisms in ceramics and paper craft, lots of her designs feature repeated shapes and patterns. We're looking forward to seeing the artwork she creates, inspired by the story of Nostell's missing Etruscan vases.

Watch Becca's installation take shape throughout the summer as she holds special ‘artist in action’ sessions, as part of this season's project, Scattered Stories, Forgotten Spaces. On these selected dates, stop by Nostell’s pop-up studio to see her installation steadily grow and feel free to ask any questions - Becca loves to chat as she creates!
