Nostell is the work of the best designers, architects and craftsmen of the 18th century. Follow in their footsteps and join a workshop at Nostell this summer, inspired by the collections and gardens.

Mark's Gardening Masterclass

Thursday 18 July, 9am - 12pm, £25

Want to find out the secret to growing perfect potatoes or awesome apples? Book this half-day workshop with Mark, Nostell's resident Kitchen Gardener to discover his top tips for growing summer fruit, veg and herbs. You'll get a chance to taste some of the season's harvest on a guided walk and talk around the garden, then fuel up in the cafe with homemade treats made using the fruits of Mark's labour. We'll finish with a hands-on session helping to prune the apple trees and collecting a sample of fresh produce to take home with you.

Carving and Campfires

Sunday 15 September

10am - 1pm and 1.30 - 4.30pm, £15 child / £5 adult

Calling all budding bushcrafters! Soak up nature’s scents and sounds as you carve your own wooden creation and get cooking on the campfire, in partnership with green woodworker MC Woodcraft.

Starting with a family-friendly intro to building a safe campfire in the forest, you’ll then get hands-on with traditional tools and techniques to start your own green woodwork spatula. Tools, materials, hot drinks and campfire snacks included.

Suitable for children 7 years +, must be accompanied by an adult. Maximum 3 children to 1 accompanying adult.
