Please book ahead before visiting 

The car park, garden, and toilets at Overbeck's Garden are open Sunday to Thursday and you’ll need to book your tickets by 3pm the day before your visit. Members can book for free, while non-members will need to pay when booking. We'll be releasing tickets every Friday from 19 March. Please note we’ll be turning people away who arrive and haven't booked. We're looking forward to welcoming you back.

A garden full of surprises 

Clinging to a cliff-top above the Salcombe Estuary this sub-tropical garden paradise has unusual plants from all round the globe. Terraced to take full advantage of it's stunning location every pathway reveals something new and unexpected to delight the senses.

East Soar to Overbeck's Garden walk 

This trail leads you along the runway of what used to be RAF Bolt Head to Overbeck's Garden, with panoramic views of the South Hams coast and countryside. Please be aware that Overbeck's Garden is currently closed, and when it reopens you'll need to book ahead of your visit.

The garden at Overbeck's is filled with fun waiting to be had by families. You can complete some of the '50 things to do before you’re 11¾’ here, create a journey stick, and watch boats on the sea.

Hot drinks, lunches and ice-cream from the Gastrobox

Tasty Takeaways 

Gastrobox will be at Overbeck’s Garden on open days, 10.30am-3.30pm, offering a variety of hot and cold drinks including proper barista coffee, ice creams, pasties and light bites (vegan options available). You’ll find the Gastrobox outside of Overbeck’s Garden, positioned opposite the entrance gates, visible from entrance and South West Coast Path - so visitors to the garden and those walking the coast path can enjoy takeaway refreshments. Card payments only.
