Heritage Open Day

The front lawn

Please take this opportunity to join us for a great day out on Saturday 21 September. We are pleased to be working with Heritage Open Days: established in 1994, Heritage Open Days is England's contribution to the European Heritage Days and has grown into the country's largest heritage festival.

Inspiration for the nation

We would like to take the opportunity to invite you to be our guest for a great day out this September. With free entry to the garden, museum, shop and tea-room, you will soon get a feel for the work that the National Trust, as a conservation charity, delivers to keep these wonderful places open forever for everyone.

Heritage Open Days

This annual festival of history and culture continues to flourish with more events every year, reflecting the rich and diverse cultural heritage of England and its communities. Expanding and diversifying from 701 events at its launch to over 5,000 today, spanning the public, private and voluntary sectors, the festival is unique. Working with organisations such as the National Trust and individuals across England, Heritage Open Days is a national local festival. It’s a chance for communities nationwide to come together to learn, explore and have fun by sharing the treasures on their doorstep.

We hope you will enjoy your day and be inspired to become part of the National Trust as as member, volunteer and frequent visitor.

We look forward to seeing you again soon.
