Jasper Winn from SWOF 2018
Speakers from the 2018 festival, Jasper is a writer, raconteur and slow adventurer. Among many other escapades he has cycled across the Sahara, canoed the length of the Danube, pedalled across West Africa, through India and around Iceland, paddled around Ireland androller-skated the length of the Netherlands.
Most recently Jasper was writer in residence for the Canal and River Trust, spending a year travelling the waterways and towpaths of Britain by boat, board, boot and bike, while researching his new book: Waterways. At SWOF he will be talking about the art of slow adventuring on Saturday at 1 pm, and about Waterways at 10.30 am on Sunday. He'll also be found demonstrating bushcraft skills around the slow zone fire during the weekend.
