Dapdune Wharf: Entry to Dapdune Wharf is free of charge. Parking at Dapdune is free for National Trust members. Charges apply for non-members. Parking at Dapdune Wharf is through the JustPark app using the location ID 998940. We recommend you download the app before you arrive. NT members: please enter your membership number to validate your parking. Non-member charges for up to 4 hours £5, all day £8. (From 1 March 2026: £5.50/£8.50) Open 10am – 5pm.

Boat trips: Charge for boat trip applies to members and non members, and includes children over one year and members. Boat trips can be booked in advance online, and are limited to a max 12 people per boat.

Navigations: Towpath open to walkers. Licences payable on all craft using the navigations, including portable craft. Insurance and boat safety requirements for boats licences apply. Adventure playground/play area
Play area in the tea room garden which is open during the tea room opening hours. Dogs are not permitted in this area.
Bookshop
Our second-hand bookshop, the Book Shed, is an Aladdin’s cave of books. We are always interested in your book donations - the Shed's success depends on generous donations, and we warmly welcome your pre-loved books.Please drop them off at Dapdune Wharf on our open days or to the Navigations Office on closed days. Thank you for your support.

Dogs allowed
Well-behaved dogs on leads are allowed at the Wharf, and in the buildings including the tea room. Dogs are not permitted in the play area or on boat trips. Along the towpath dogs must be under control and on leads in lock areas.
Plant shop
Small plant area selling plants grown locally by volunteers.
Tea-room
Treat yourself at the Lock keeper’s tea room - we serve barista style coffees with traditional round cakes and tray bakes. Every time you present a reusable cup when you order a hot drink, we’ll give you 25p off as a thank you for helping the environment. High chairs are available. Inside and outside seating, and a children's play area in the garden.
Toilet
Toilets available at the Wharf, in the tearoom and at the far end of the site.
Blue Badge parking, accessible toilets and baby change facilities at Dapdune Wharf. Towpath partly accessible.

By road
Dapdune Wharf is on Wharf Road to rear of Surrey County Cricket Ground, off Woodbridge Road, A322 (only accessible from the northbound carriageway), Guildford
Parking: at Dapdune Wharf
On foot
access to Dapdune Wharf from town centre via towpath or Woodbridge Road.
By train
Addlestone train station, Byfleet and New Haw, Guildford, Farncombe and Godalming all close to the Navigations To reach Dapdune Wharf from Guildford train station, exit by platform 2, cross the car park, cross Walnut Tree Close and bridge. From walnut bridge follow the route pass the side of the Odeon (not along the river) towards the car park, turn left. Go past the law courts and take next turning left into Mary Rd. The road bears to the right by the stagecoach garage into Leas Rd. Then turn left into William Rd. At the end of William Rd at the right hand side there is a footpath, follow the footpath into Wharf Rd, about 80M, Entry to Dapdune Wharf is on your left.

Book a boat trip on the River Wey Navigations

Boat trips run six times a day from Thursday to Monday, when the Wharf is open (March-November). You can hire the whole boat for £75 or buy individual tickets (prices apply to both National Trust members and non-members). You can also buy a licence to use your own canoe/kayak/paddleboard here.
