Family Friendly Award nomination

Families enjoying a visit to Rainham Hall

In 2017 Rainham Hall was shortlisted for the Kids in Museums Family Friendly Award.

The annual Kids in Museums Family Friendly Awards are one of the biggest museum awards in the country, and the only one where local families choose the winner. Over 700 places were nominated, and Rainham Hall is just one of ten places shortlisted for the prize. It's a fantastic achievement, as only one other National Trust property, Beningbrough Hall and Gardens in York, has previously been shortlisted.

The shortlisted museums were road-tested anonymously by families  using the new Kids in Museums Mini Manifesto as a guide to their family and child friendliness. Our congraulations go the People's Museum who were the 2017 winners. It was an absolute honour to be shortlisted, so our thanks to the families who supported us and the judges for their consideration.
