There are a number of ways you can get involved with our work here at Rufford Old Hall and we're always grateful for your support.

We welcome friendly people who bring existing skills and interests, or who'd like to learn new ones. If you have a few spare hours, and would like to improve your skills and meet new people then we'd love to hear from you.

  • Room Guide (weekend) - our team of Room Guides bring the building to life
  • Wedding Assistant - help with the organisation of a special day at a special venue
  • Events Assistant - we need people who are creative and organised to help in the preparation and delivery of our events
  • Car Park / Meeter Greeter - Volunteer Meeter Greeters provide a warm welcome for visitors exploring and learning more about our lovely site. They help with the smooth running of our busy car park and be part of an enthusiastic happy team
  • Piano Player - Do you miss playing the piano and are looking for a chance to play a magnificent Broadwood? Come to Rufford Old Hall and play in the drawing room to help bring the house to life
  • Shop Volunteer - Everyone likes a bit of retail therapy, don’t they? Retail Assistants offer this vital service for our visitors. They love helping people find just the thing they’re looking for, and helping us achieve our sales targets, so everyone’s happy!
