Heritage Open Day 2026
Enjoy free entry for all to Rufford Old Hall on Sunday 20 September 2026.

Open from 10.30am-4.30pm, explore the magnificent Tudor house, enjoy tasty treats in the Victorian tearoom and wander around the beautiful grounds.
Throughout the day we will also be joined by Red Rose Woodturners who will be demonstrating the art and craft of using hand-held tools on a wood lathe, turning a piece of wood into an object. They’ll also be the chance to purchase some of these wonderful handcrafted pieces created by members of the Red Rose Woodturners.
Inside the house, see demonstrations of traditional yarn spinning and hear lute performances throughout the day in the Great Hall.
In September, the garden and woodland will be starting to show its autumnal colours. Take a walk through the woodland and along the canal, relax in the Courtyard and formal gardens or take the little ones to burn off some energy on a balance bike, available to borrow from the Coach House.
