Shopping at The Vyne in winter
This season, step into The Vyne’s cosy shop located in a former coach house. Featuring rich, burgundy designs, a ‘Grain to Glory’ scarf collection is inspired by ornate woodcarvings in our care. Evocative of the cool half-light of dawn, blue floral motifs decorate home and kitchenware. Alongside pocket money goodies, you can spark young imaginations with nature-inspired reads.
A note from our in-house design team
Inspired by the slow craft of the maker's hand, our 'Grain to Glory' collection explores the delicately crafted woodwork in our collections that have been so carefully maintained and restored. Vibrant tones such as rich burgundy anchor our seasonal colour and celebrate the richness of our inspiration.
Along with men’s cross body leather brown bags you’ll find a selection of women’s scarves inspired by historic wooden carvings at Petworth House, Barrington Court and Knightshayes.
Home and Kitchen
Evocative of the cool half-light of dawn, you can accentuate the season in your home with cushions, vases and throws featuring blue floral motifs. Rich in colour and texture, there’s even a bronze hare to add a touch of wildlife to your living space.
The same cool motifs can continue into the kitchen, with matching mugs, tea towels, teapots, pitcher and milk jugs.
Hard working hands will be nourished with rosemary leaf and orange scented soap, hand wash, hand scrub, hand and body lotion and hand cream.
Children’s and books
Little treasures include acorn erasers and twig pencils. Very young visitors will love story books such as Who’s Hiding in the Woods? You can spark the curiosity of slightly older children with our very own National Trust Top Trump cards or the ‘Go Find It’ card game.
Budding ornithologists can brush up on their knowledge with the Out & About Bird Spotter book. Why not record your nature adventures in the national trust scrap book? Or for something totally different, you can actually purchase a silk daisy chain, so you can enjoy this nature-themed pastime wherever you go.
Containing a nature poem for every day of the year, you can nurture young imaginations with ‘I Am The Seed That Grew The Tree’.
As wildlife gets ready to hibernate, grown-ups can fuel up for the winter with recipes from our Comfort Food Cookbook.
A quick note:
Due to the cosy nature of the shop, we may not stock all the items shown in the photos, but we have a certain rustic charm you won’t find on the internet.
