Set in the heart of peaceful Stourhead, at the entrance to the landscape garden, this self-catered cottage is an ideal retreat overlooking St Peter's church. With room for 7 guests, the cottage is perfect for holidays with friends and family.
According to records there were four cottages on Church Lawn by the 18th century. Three remain today. In 1902 a great fire at the mansion house moved the Hoare family temporarily into this row of cottages and the little cottage became the servants quarters. The cottage was converted to a National Trust holiday cottage in 2001.
