Family adventures at Upton in summer
Bring the family for a top notch day of adventures at Upton House and Gardens this summer.
Explore the garden and grounds
When Lord and Lady Bearsted bought Upton House in 1927 their three sons enjoyed exploring the new grounds at Upton. Inspired by Tony the youngest son, who was 9 years old, we are developing a range of fun activities and adventures to do at Upton.
Try the explorer trail
Try out our new orienteering trail over the holidays. Navigate your way to the special markers and follow the trail round the gardens, collecting letter clues as you go. Good for kids of all ages, including little ones.
Pick up an adventure pack to help you explore
Borrow a bag of ideas and tools to entertain the family whilst enjoying our gardens. Pick up an adventure pack from reception when you arrive. Try one of the many activities for all the family – such as sending messages by semaphore, using bug pots and nets and getting back to nature in the woodland. Plus some more chilled activities for after lunch like cloud spotting and story making. Choose the magnifying glass or binoculars for searching high and low. Use them with the activities or just have fun and see what you can see as you explore and play in our gardens and wood.
