Explore the shop at Upton House and Gardens
Make sure you drop into the shop when you visit. We have a wonderful selection of books, bags and jams - not to mention the range of scarves and accessories
Inspired by meadows and species-rich grasslands, the Grasslands collection highlights the importance of meadows whilst also encouraging us to come together in these local and ever-meaningful spaces. Come and discover the new collection of scarves, bags and accessories in our shop.
The art of books
We have an excellent array of books connected to the stunning art collection here at Upton, including a title on ‘how to read paintings’ for those avid art fans who’d like to learn more. Have a flick through while you’re in the picture gallery, before making a purchase in the shop.
We also currently have a small selection of prints, postcards and magnets from the recent National Trust Prized Possessions exhibition. This exhibition on Dutch artists included artworks from our permanent collection including works by Pieter Jansz Saenredam and Gabriel Metsu.
Helping you to shop local
Have you seen the beautiful local honey products we stock from V&L Honeymakers?
From their base in Hook Norton, Viktor and Lucy manage 39 apiary sites around North Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and Gloucestershire. The hives are placed in areas rich in wild flowers, flavouring the honey with the plants they feed on, particularly Clover and Borage.
The bees are farmed without the use of chemicals, and the end result is the highest quality honey with a lovely texture and amazing flavour.
We have two flavoured runny honey and raw honey, and a collection of 3 small batch flavours – including our favourite, Lime Honey. We also have a honey and oat soap and two varieties of scented beeswax Lip Balms; rose and geranium, and vanilla.
As well as these gift sets of local North Cotswold Brewery beer, we also have two new beers in stock. The dark and nutty Red Ale, and the smooth and hoppy Pale Ale. Both of these beers are made with National Trust farm hops and brewed by Westerham Brewery.
