Reminiscence Open Day

Together, we will explore the theme of home, reminiscing about childhoods, family meals, and a day in the life of a person growing up in the 1950s and 1960s.

  • Booking essential
  • Free event

We have two sessions running during on the day, the first running from 12:00 until 13:30, and the second from 14:00 until 15:30. We will be hosting activities in the courtyard, serving tea and cake as refreshments, and a live music set of songs through the decades. The bottom floors of our three houses will be open with artifacts from the eras that evoke memories of home. We’d love to see as many people at this event as we can, but due to the size of the property, spaces are limited to 10 people living with dementia per session, plus their carers or loved ones. We are eager to chat to those in attendance about their own memories of childhood and home, so please bring along any photos or memorable items you’d like to share with us that tell us a little about you! This event is specifically for people living with dementia and is not a tour of the Back to Backs. So that we can get to know those who are booked on to the session, the team will give carers and loved ones a call in the weeks leading up to the event.
