Visiting the Newmarket Bedroom, Library and Upper Gallery, this guided tour explores the different ways Lord Fairhaven built and displayed his remarkable collection. From returning to favourite subjects and collecting more than could ever be displayed, to creating new rooms for his growing treasures, the tour reveals how collecting transformed both the house and the experience of those who visited it.
This tour is running every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday throughout October from Monday 5 October, at 11am, 12:30pm, and 2pm. The tours last for approximatley 45 minutures followed by time for questions.
Please note that the upstairs of the house is closed for annual conservation work. The downstairs of the house is open as usual.

This tour explores the upstairs of the house, and is suitable for visitors who can climb up and down more then 20 stairs.
- Meeting point
Please collect a ticket from Visitor Reception. The tours begin at the front door of the house, which is approximatley a 10 minute walk from the Visitor Centre
- Suitability for children
This tour is aimed at adults, but all are welcome.
- What to bring and wear
Although this tour is indoors, please dress for the season as it can get chilly in the house.
