- Booking essential
Be among the first to experience our brand-new exhibition Tailoring an Image at an exclusive evening event at Anglesey Abbey. Dive into the world of mid-20th-century men’s fashion and bespoke tailoring in a new menswear exhibition at Anglesey Abbey. Several of the outfits in this exhibition were handmade by H. Huntsman & Sons – an internationally renowned bespoke tailoring house with a sartorial legacy spanning over 175 years. They have a reputation for making the world’s finest handcrafted clothes for the most sartorially discerning individuals, including many commissions for the wardrobe of Lord Fairhaven. Come and see these items which are not usually on display at Anglesey Abbey.
Enjoy a welcome drink on arrival, followed by introductory talks that set the scene of the exhibition. Hear directly from Anglesey Abbey’s Property Curator about the research, history, and hidden stories behind the collection and its curation.
As you explore, take in the beautiful surroundings of Anglesey Abbey and unwind while listening to a live string quartet. This special preview offers a rare opportunity to discover how exhibitions are crafted—before the doors officially open to the public.
Booking is essential. Please arrive within your 30-minute pre-booked entry slot.
