A Spectacular After-Dark Experience
Explore the grounds of Dunham Massey as they're transformed into a glowing winter wonderland. Created by award-winning light trail producers, this breathtaking illuminated trail features the very best in twinkling lights and immersive seasonal sounds.

New for 2025

See new light installations alongside familiar favourites. Look out for giant neon baubles hanging from trees, illuminated shards lighting up the landscape and even playful fish leaping out of the water. And for the first time in over three years, take a moment to watch the festive projections on Dunham Massey’s house itself.

Christmas at Dunham Massey is more than a light and sound trail – it’s a complete picture-perfect Christmas experience. Enjoy the festive fairground, indulge in delicious seasonal treats, and sip on mulled wine or hot chocolate from our hand-picked food and beverage stalls. And of course, don’t miss a magical glimpse of Father Christmas along the way!

Off-peak tickets are £19 for an adult, £12.50 for a child with family tickets starting from £40.

Standard tickets are £27.50 for adult, £18.50 for a child, with family tickets starting from £60.

Go on a winter walk

Stroll through the Winter Garden, one of the largest in Britian, rich with colourful dogwoods, fragrant witch hazel, and evergreens that brighten even the coldest days. Or for a longer walk, head into the deer park that’s home to ancient trees, a herd of fallow deer and two ponds full of wildlife.

Follow a family-friendly trail

Help Speechly the Pineapple with his ‘pineapple post’. Young explorers are invited to collect stamps and discover seasonal surprises around the garden and park while the house is closed.

Don't miss in 2026

Meet Rembrandt inside the house in 2026. Explore one of the National Trust’s greatest treasures: a self-portrait by Dutch master, Rembrandt. Christmas Lunch in the Stables Restaurant

25 November–18 December, Monday to Thursday, 12 noon til 2.30pm

Pre-book on to a festive two-course or three-course Christmas dinner with all the seasonal trimmings in the Stables Restaurant, finished off with a hot drink and a mince pie. Our food and drink Winter Menu options will also be available on the day. Booking is essential and we are able to welcome groups of up to 10.
