Join us to celebrate the harvest by picking your own apples and tasting delicious apples from the Mother Orchard.

Join us to celebrate the bounty of the orchards by helping us collect the windfalls, picking your own apples to take home, and getting stuck into fruity fun.
Head to the Cider Barn in the Mother Orchard to taste different varieties and pick your favourites straight from the trees to take home with you - perfect for eating, juicing, or using in your favourite autumnal recipes. Help us collect the windfalls from the ground and drop them off into our collection stations to help us turn these beautiful fallen apples into delicious cider next year.
Cotehele's gardeners will be on hand to answer questions about all things apples. Visit our pop-up shop to see a selection of local products from the Tamar Valley.
Following the prolonged hot and dry weather this summer, this year's crop is smaller than previous years. To ensure we make the most of this season's crops and reduce food waste, some of our usual apple activities, such as demonstrations of the Cider Press, will not be taking place this year.

The orchards are part of a step-free route, however there are cobbles within Retainers’ Court and uneven ground in the Mother Orchard to negotiate.
- Meeting point
Head to Visitor Welcome for directions and information. All the activities will be taking place in the Cider Barn located in the Mother Orchard.

This event takes place in an area of the garden where only accessible dogs are allowed. If visitors are bringing dogs, we advise to have a think in advance about who can look after their dog whilst their party completes the activities in the Mother Orchard.
