From October 1- 17 the ‘What is a Man Engine?’ tour will be running at Levant. The tour tells the story of how this once innovative technology changed mining. Learn about the man engine at Levant, the men who worked there and the tragedy that unfolded. This tour lasts for approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. It encompasses all of the site including the beam engine, skip shaft and man engine tunnel. There will be four tours a day, pre-booking only. Bookings open Thursday 19 September.
