Garden celebration at Arlington Court

As summer draws to a close, join us in celebrating the beauty, history, and hidden corners of Arlington's gardens.

From Monday 14 to Sunday 20 September, visitors are invited to explore vibrant flower beds, uncover rarely seen behind-the-scenes spaces like the polytunnels and compost bays, discover more about how we care for our gardens, learn about the history of the garden and more. This year we will also be giving visitors a sneak peak of a new garden space, the Slip Garden, that we have been working on.

Our gardeners will be running walk-and-talks throughout the week. Please enquire at reception upon arrival to pick up a ticket if you wish to join a tour - they are first-come, first-served, so space cannot be guaranteed.

Mon 14 Sep:

12– 12:30pm: Understanding your garden soil

2– 3:30pm: How the Chichester’s changed the landscape (Guided Walk)

Tues 15 Sep:

12– 1pm: Flower picking and posy making

2 – 3pm: Meet the machines (demonstration of our electric garden machinery)

Wed 16 Sep:

12- 1pm: Behind-the-scenes garden tour

2 -3pm: Basic botany, take a closer look at flowers under a hand lens

Thurs 17 Sep:

12 – 1pm: Meet the machines (demonstration of our electric garden machinery)

2 – 2:30pm: Japanese’s tools in the English garden

Fri 18 Sep:

12 – 1pm: Seasonal garden tour

2:30 – 3:30pm : Butterfly walk (this event may be cancelled in bad weather)

This event and tours are free, but normal admission prices apply (free for NT members).
