Stepping into Parkinson’s and nature: Couch to 5K running programme
Exercise can be a great way for those living with Parkinson's to maintain activity levels.
- Booking essential
- Free event
This programme has adapted the popular Couch to 5k programme for those with Parkinson's and their carers to get the pulse rate going whilst spending time in the beautiful surroundings of Kingston Lacy.
Delivered by an England Athletics trained leader and based on a specially designed 12-week Couch to 5k programme, whether you jog or run, you'll have nature on your side. Through the programme we can also offer advice on how running can enable you to keep active whilst living with Parkinson's and will provide self-led activity plans to do at home between sessions.
You will be joined and supported by a friendly, sociable group of runners, with the opportunity to continue after the course in a weekly social running group.
Programme commences on Monday 11 May 2026 at 2pm and will run for 12 weeks (excluding Monday 25 May). You can start this programme up until Monday 18 May 2026.
Not sure running is for you? Take a look at our Stepping into Parkinson’s and nature: walking programme. This takes place alongside the running group, and you get to be part of the same sociable group.
