This article was about family trail Little People BIG DREAMS® at The Vyne. This event has now finished. Based on the best-selling biography series for kids by Maria Isabel Sánchez Vegara, this trail with its lively games and pioneering fun encouraged kids to ‘be bold, be brave’ and ‘dream big’.

Perfect for ages four to seven and above, the trail showcased trailblazers and dreamers who have made a big impact in the world around them.

Featuring artwork from the picture-books
Using artworks from the Little People, BIG DREAMS® picture-book series this trail invited families into the stories of little authors, activists, pop stars and scientists from all over the world. As families visited the house and wandered around the grounds at The Vyne, they could delve into the lives of some extraordinary people including Jane Austen, Malala Yousafzai, David Attenborough, Taylor Swift, Steve Irwin and Hans Christian Anderson to name a few.

Other heroes included were athletes like Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, artists such as Vincent van Gogh, and iconic musicians Beyoncé and Stevie Wonder, and many more. Families got to see how their dreams as little children grew to become their reality.

An action-packed adventure
There was plenty of games and activities to keep budding pioneers entertained. In the gardens, there was 'kangaroo pouch bean bag toss' with Steve Irwin and ‘jam’ with Taylor Swift in the Summerhouse. Families could keep an eagle eye out with David Attenborough using binoculars at the bird hide and throw their own mini-theatre production with Hans Christian Andersen. They also joined Jane Austen in the house before browsing the shop for these much-loved books.

'We hope children felt empowered to dream big, just like the many iconic people they met along the way.'

~ Roxanne Cooper, Visitor Operations and Experience Manager at The Vyne
