Composer Deborah Pritchard’s music is heard all over the world, especially in sacred spaces. In this talk, which takes place in the Great Hall at Ightham Mote, Deborah will be in conversation with Thomas Kemp, exploring the relationship between colour and sound in music.
The talk includes the first performance of a new piece for violin by Deborah. There will also be a display of Deborah’s Music Maps - paintings that guide you through pieces of music and express the character and structure of the pieces through art. These Music Maps are created for Deborah’s own music as well as works by other contemporary composers.
