Free mystery apple identification sessions

Do you have an apple tree growing in your outdoor space that needs identifying? Here's your chance! In collaboration with the North Cumbrian Orchard Group.

Bring along your mystery apple(s) to be examined and hopefully identified by a panel of experts. From the Acorn Bank gardener who looks after the 165 varieties grown here, and experts from the North Cumbrian Orchard Group, they'll use their knowledge and experience and will do their very best to help you identify your mystery apple.

On arrival to Acorn Bank, please book your timed slot(s) with the team. You'll get 15 mins per apple and it's a maximum of three apples only please.

Accessibility

Please see the main Acorn Bank webpage under 'Accessibility'. This event takes place in a ground floor room of the house.

Meeting point

This event will take place in the Drawing Room of the house. Go into the Entrance Hall, turn right through the second-hand bookshop and then the next room is the Drawing Room.

Other

Don't forget to bring your apples with you (maximum of three) and to book your spot with the experts on arrival. It'll be on a first-come, first-served basis and a time slot will be given.
