Free apple tasting
Every weekend, you can drop in and try some of the apples grown at Acorn Bank. There are 165 varieties, some with surprising flavours!

During these weekends, we’ll pick what’s ripe for you to try from the many varieties of apples grown at Acorn Bank. From pineapple, aniseed, sherbert and even notes of strawberry, some of these apple varieties can date back centuries. Volunteers will be around to chat to you about the collection.

The apples will be on display for you to try in the courtyard near the café.

Children are welcome but should be accompanied by an adult.

As the apples will be put out when ripe, we can't say exactly what varieties will be available for you to try on the day of your visit. Also, these sessions may finish before October due to the growing season, please check nearer the time you're hoping to visit.
