Easter egg hunt at Wray

Make your way along the trail and find egg-citing fun and games for the whole family.

Hop into Easter with a smile and a giggle. Follow the trail through the woods and parkland with views out to the lake and the fells beyond. Complete the 10 activities along the way and earn your chocolate egg at the end. For extra foodie treats, head to Joeys Café.

The trail takes place between Saturday 28th March and Sunday 12th April 2026, from 10am to 4pm, with last entry at 3:30pm, so come along and explore the beautiful grounds of Wray.

Prices are £3.50 per trail which includes an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears and a dairy or vegan/Free From* chocolate egg.

*Suitable for people with milk, egg, gluten, peanut and tree nut allergies.

The basics

Suitability

Carriers are better than pushchairs for non-walkers.

Meeting point

Head to the front of the castle to purchase your trail.

What to bring and wear

Please dress for the weather – whether that be waterproofs and wellies or sunglasses and a hat!

Accessibility

Blue Badge parking in the top car park. Accessible toilet near the café. An all-terrain mobility scooter is available for hire. The trail goes on paths and tracks that are uneven and may have steps along the way. Alternative routes for those on wheels are signposted where possible. Other

This event is aimed at families, but everyone is welcome. Parking charges apply if you're coming by car. Free parking for National Trust members – please scan your membership card at the pay and display machine. The castle remains closed for restoration.
