Festival of Archaeology- Craft Session
Try your hand at the ancient craft of weaving during the Festival of Archaeology at Canons Ashby!

Weaving is one of the oldest crafts in the world, with the tradition being traceable to over 12,000 years ago! Weaving can be done with lots of different materials, and was used to make fabrics. In this workshop we will be having a go at basic weaving technique. Volunteers will be on hand to help!
Normal admission prices apply, £2 per person.

Start your visit at our Visitor Reception who will direct you to the Priory Church. This craft workshop will take place between 11am and 2pm.
- What to bring and wear
Please dress for the weather, whatever it may bring.
- Accessibility
Access to our Priory Church is across the paddock. This is grassy, and woodchipped in some areas. It is uneven and can get muddy. There is a gate and a road to cross, please take care when crossing the road. There is step-free access to the Priory Church via a threshold ramp.
