Heritage Open Day with Clarinet Ensemble Performance

Visit Canons Ashby to enjoy the beautiful gardens, the historic house, the medieval church and green outdoor spaces. On Saturday enjoy live clarinet music, or on Sunday have a close up, hands-on look at our nature items, for kids or adults.

Visit Canons Ashby to enjoy the beautiful gardens, the historic house, the medieval church and green outdoor spaces. On Saturday enjoy live clarinet music, or on Sunday have a close up, hands-on look at our nature items, for kids or adults. Visit Canons Ashby to enjoy the beautiful gardens, the historic house, the medieval church and green outdoor spaces. It will be free entry both days from 10am until we close at 5pm. The house will be open from 11.30am until last entry at 3.30pm.

On Saturday 12 September, enjoy music from the Liquorice Allsorts Clarinet Ensemble 11.30am -12.30pm (in the garden if the weather is dry, in the church if wet), and 2-3pm (in the church).

Whilst you're here, pop into the shop to collect a souvenir or treat yourself in the tea-room to a cream tea or a light lunch. Free entry on these days only as part of Heritage Open Days. There's no need to book in advance.

Accessibility

Both of these locations involve some slopes and covering some grassy terrain which may be uneven. The church is accessed via a grassy paddock and across a road. There are two gates and a church door. Meeting point

Park in the main visitor car park and start your visit at Visitor Reception as usual. They will direct you.

What to bring and wear

Please dress for whatever the weather brings. Be aware that there are uneven surfaces outdoors, as well as steps, slopes and stairs both inside and outside the house.

Other

If the weather is damp in the morning, both performances will be in the church. This is free to enter and join as it is part of heritage open days.
