Dawn Chorus Walk

Wake up with the wildlife and experience Canons Ashby like you’ve never seen - or heard - it before! Join us on Dawn Chorus Day for a magical early‑morning adventure as the parkland comes alive with birdsong.

  • Booking essential

As the sun rises over the landscape, we’ll wander through grassland and uneven parkland paths, hoping to catch the melodies of a wide variety of birds greeting the new day. From the soft notes of blackbirds warming up to the full morning orchestra, it’s nature’s most uplifting concert—and you’ll have the best seat in the house.

Meet at 6am outside visitor reception, then set off for a peaceful guided walk through the parkland, enjoy the sunrise and the spectacular dawn chorus. Then come back for a well‑earned hot drink at around 8am.

Please note: the route includes grass, slopes and uneven ground.

Sorry, no dogs allowed—this one’s for the birds!

Whether you’re a seasoned birder or just love the idea of starting the day with something special, this is a rare chance to see (and hear!) the park in a whole new light.
