The Robin's Tale at Ham House

Enjoy the festive season at Ham House and Garden from 28 November 2026 to 3 January 2027. For Christmas 2026, we invite you to The Robin's Tale, inspired by a newly conserved lacquer screen. Follow our jolly robin as he flies from room to room on as adventure to reunite the phoenix with her tail, and discover stunning decorations along the way. Plus, family activities, Christmas shopping and more!

Come for Christmas shopping in Morden Hall Park's Garden Centre or second hand bookshop, get your Christmas tree and visit for wintery walks in the park and cosy treats in the Potting Shed Café. In the Garden Centre, you’ll find UK-grown trees, sustainable decorations and thoughtful gifts for all ages. Browse seasonal homeware, books, pet accessories and locally-sourced treats — perfect for stocking fillers or something special.

Wrap up warm and step outside for a festive walk with the whole family. Just the thing to blow away the cobwebs during the rush of Christmas. Choose from short level routes, or longer more adventurous walks.

Save the Sleigh Trail, Morden Hall Park

Sat 28 Nov - Sun 3 Jan, 10am-4pm Father Christmas needs your help! Six important parts of his sleigh have been hidden around Morden Hall Park, and without them he won't be able to deliver presents on Christmas Eve. Become one of Father Christmas's special helpers and follow the festive trail to hunt down all six missing pieces. Solve the mystery, explore the park and help get the sleigh ready for its magical journey around the world. Once you've found every piece, make your way to the Garden Centre to collect a special Christmas reward. Don't forget to stop by the Stableyard too and snap a festive photo with Father Christmas's sleigh! £3 per trail, including gift.

Visit Father Christmas at Morden Hall Park

Come along for a festive visit to Father Christmas's cosy grotto experience at Morden Hall Park. Your visit begins in the new festive space, undercover in the outdoor plant area of the Garden Centre. There, you'll have the chance to write a special note to Father Christmas. Once your note is ready, our festive delivery team will magically send it to the grotto, before welcoming you in to meet Father Christmas himself. After your greeting, the elves will then specially select each child a wrapped gift to take home. There'll be festive music and plenty of Christmas cheer. Suitable for babies and children up to 8 years old.
