Explore the Wonder World: Earth trail daily, through half‑term until Sunday 5 July, and drop‑in to creative activities for curious growers and messy little artists.

Muddy art — Use mud, sticks and imagination to create your own nature‑inspired artwork. Wednesday 27 May, 10.30am to 12.30pm & 1.30pm to 3.30pm

Plant a seed with Gibside Community Farm (a local team of passionate volunteers, keen to teach children how food begins) — Sow a seed to take home and nurture, and learn how food grows. Thursday 28 May, 10.30am to 3pm

Welly wanging — Grab a welly and see how far you can fling it in this silly, family‑favourite challenge. Saturday 23 to Sunday 31 May, 10am to 4.30pm
