Get involved in creating a new garden sculpture at Mount Stewart with artist Eleanor Wheeler.

Mount Stewart will be hosting a six-week creative residency this May & June with artist Eleanor Wheeler.
Artist Eleanor Wheeler will develop a Mount Stewart inspired body of work that responds meaningfully to the property’s global connections. Eleanor’s work will incorporate research, community co-production and will provide opportunities for visitor interactivity, creating meaningful connections between Mount Stewart’s heritage and today’s audiences.
Artist-in-residence Eleanor Wheeler will work onsite throughout June, creating art inspired by the history of Mount Stewart House and gardens.
Visitors can get involved, meet Eleanor in the studio and join drop-in sessions. You can contribute to the project by making a small teacup ‘ceramic pinch pot’. This will become part of a “Teacup Mandala” sculpture, celebrating Mount Stewart’s historic links with India. The final piece will be later displayed in the gardens throughout the summer
