This 9.5 mile walk explores the wider estate of Calke.
Starting at the centre of the estate, we will follow the old tramway to Pistern Hills, where a short but steep climb offers views across the entire estate and surrounding countryside. From here, we will cross farmland to enter Southwood, a stunning pocket of ancient woodland, with a variety of native trees and flowers to gaze upon and explore, before then finding the tramway again and making our return to Calke.
This event is free, but admission charges to Calke apply for non-National Trust members.
