Root to Rise is a gentle spring day retreat inviting you to awaken your energy while staying deeply grounded.
Held at Calke Abbey’s Riding School and surrounding grounds, this retreat is inspired by the Spring Equinox - a seasonal turning point and a chance to begin again, slowly and intentionally. Guided by nature, the day offers space to check in, soften, and reconnect with what you need as you step into this next chapter.
You’ll be guided through Pilates and yoga, breathwork, and gentle meditation, alongside a guided nature meditation walk through the grounds. There will also be time for journaling and a simple seasonal creative practice, offering space to reflect and gently shape how you want to move forward.
A nourishing lunch is included, with the day unfolding at an unhurried pace - allowing time to rest, integrate, and simply be.
Open to all levels. No experience needed. Admission into the parkland is included.

- Meeting point
Meet at the Riding School 15 minutes before the event starts.
- What to bring and wear
Yoga mats will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own. Please bring water and suitable walking shoes/clothing. Dietary requirements will be requested by email a week prior to the event.
- Accessibility
The event involves moving from sitting to standing regularly, as well as a gentle walk across uneven terrain. There is step-free access to the Riding School via the restaurant courtyard.
