Guided by Nature: Butterfly Walk
Ramble through the lower parkland on our Ranger led nature walk and discover more about the Hardwick butterfly population.
- Booking essential
Join our ranger team to complete one of Hardwick’s established butterfly survey transects which will take you through a variety of habitats with the hopes of seeing and learning about different butterflies.
This route will be on uneven terrain so appropriate footwear is needed. This walk should take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
For the comfort of the group, please leave your dogs at home.

Suitable for children aged 14 or over.
- Meeting point
The Nature Walk will take place from the Park Centre location What 3 Words (post.water.dustbin), please do NOT arrive at Hardwick's main car park at the top of the hill.
- What to bring and wear
Please wear sturdy outdoor shoes and dress for the Great British Weather. Bring appropriate snacks and water if needed.
- Accessibility
There are accessible toilets located at the Park Centre, please note that this walk is along uneven terrain and is not wheelchair/pushchair accessible.
