Calling all early birds to celebrate International Dawn Chorus Day for a mindful 5am bird walk around the parkland.

As the sun rises and nature awakens, immerse yourself in the enchanting melodies of the dawn chorus!
This mindful morning bird walk experience will be led by one of Hardwick’s own bird enthusiasts to help identify the charming chirping of British Songbirds.
We hope to hear/spot the following birds on the journey along with so much more:
• Thrushes
• Blackcaps
• Warblers
• Finches
So, join us for a magical morning walk where you can listen to the serenity of nature's symphony.
Walk difficulty:
• Gentle paced walk
• 3 - 3.5 miles
• Moderate difficulty, includes a hill, some rough terrain.

The basics

- Suitability
This walk is suitable for children aged 14 and over.
- Meeting point
Please meet the start of Lady Spencer’s Wood, there will be the chance to use the toilets in the car park before the walk commences.
- What to bring and wear
Please wear sturdy outdoor shoes and outdoor clothing in line with the weather. Bring appropriate snacks and water if needed. Binoculars great but not essential for the experience.
- Accessibility
There are accessible toilets and parking located in the Stableyard, please note that this walk is along uneven terrain and is not wheelchair accessible.
