Sound Explorers Workshop - The Sound of Water- Nature Weekend | Water

Join sound artist Kathy Hinde for a workshop exploring new ways of listening.

  • Booking advisable
  • Free event (admission applies)

Using gramophone horns and creatively repurposed devices, you’ll tune into the sounds around you from fresh perspectives. There will also be an opportunity to listen underwater with hydrophones, and each participant will be provided with a pair of wireless headphones.

Sound artist Kathy Hinde is collaborating with young people at REACH Inclusion to create immersive soundscapes inspired by Attingham’s underwater sound world. These pieces will premiere at the event, alongside opportunities to listen beneath watery surfaces in various locations. Join Kathy for a bookable Listening Walk, tuning in to the site’s curious and often hidden aquatic sounds.

Each workshop is 1 hour in length and suitable for 5+.

Children will need to be supervised by adults at all times.
