Where meals were made, stories were shared and servants kept the castle running. Head to the once state-of-the-art Victorian Kitchen with one of our knowledgeable tour guides and discover the heart of Victorian life at Dunster Castle.

Let our volunteer guides lead you beyond the usual visitor route, through Dunster Castle’s Victorian kitchen and larders. Along the way, you’ll uncover stories of the cooks, maids and scullery staff who worked tirelessly behind the scenes in these once bustling rooms.

Tickets can be purchased at the Ticket Office on arrival or by cash at the castle entrance. There are limited slots for each tour.
- What to bring and wear
Please wear sensible shoes as some of the rooms have uneven flooring.
- Accessibility
There is uneven flooring and steps so the tour is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.
