Behind the scenes: Attic Tours (Weekends)

If you've always wanted to see more of Dunster Castle, come on an attic tour with one of the castle's knowledgeable tour guides.

Join an attic tour to experience life behind the scenes at Dunster Castle. See spaces you haven't seen before and hear stories about the servants who lived and used the spaces upstairs.

The basics

Suitability

The tours are not recommended for children under 12.

Meeting point

The tour will begin outside the front of the house. Members need to scan their membership cards on arrival, non-members will need to purchase an admission ticket.

What to bring and wear

Please wear suitable shoes for walking on uneven ground. The attics can be quite cold with uneven steps.

Accessibility

There are 87 steps up a spiral staircase which are worn in places. Please take time to consider this before booking.
