Explore the beaver enclosure at Holnicote estate digitally, immerse yourself in nature without really having to with a virtual reality tour, learn more about how water moves through the landscape with the augmented reality sandbox and enjoy the work of local artist, Elizabeth Woodger, created specially for this project. Find out more about the importance of protecting freshwater habitats and improving the condition of our rivers.
This exhibition expands on the National Trust North Devon Riverlands Project which is restoring wetland habitats across North Devon. Collaborating with four ranger teams - Arlington Court, West Exmoor, Hartland, and Woolacombe - they are focusing on nature-based solutions to enhance water quality, reduce flood risk, combat soil erosion and improve drought resilience, while promoting biodiversity.

The exhibition will be in the 17th century stables.
- What to bring and wear
Wear sensible footwear and dress for the weather.
- Accessibility
The stables are wheelchair accessible, but please note that the floor is cobbled. Unfortunately the stables are not tramper accessible, but do give us a call to discuss options further. There is a courtesy vehicle that can take visitors from the car park to the stables if required. Please ask for availability upon arrival.
