If you've not visited before, don't miss this opportunity to explore one of Surrey's most popular horticultural gems. Created by a local doctor, Wilfrid Fox, this picturesque hillside arboretum offers pleasant walks with twisting pathways and borrowed views over the valley. Don't miss a chance to see Winkworth's iconic boathouse and wander over to the meadow where you can see the full collection of trees planted by Fox starting to burst into autumn colour.
You'll be welcomed to Winkworth by our brand new facilities, complete with shop, cafe (with indoor and outdoor seating), and toilet facilities.

The basics
- Accessibility
The upper arboretum has an accessible tarmacked path. An electric mobility scooter is available to borror. Please call in advance to reserve. The lower arboretum is accessed by steep slopes and steps. Please be aware that paths may become muddy and slippery.
