Join us for a short introductory talk exploring Rudyard Kipling’s life at Bateman’s during the First World War. Discover how the conflict affected Kipling and his family, including the story of his son, John Kipling, who served as a British Army officer.
Part of our wider WW1 weekend, this talk provides useful context before your house visit, highlighting Kipling’s response to the war and its lasting impact on his writing and life at Bateman’s.
