Dinefwr at Dusk

For two evenings this half term, step inside Dinefwr at Dusk and experience the Dark House after hours, when the stories, characters and traditions of Welsh folklore begin to emerge from the shadows. Journey through all four floors of Newton House in a theatrical exploration of the folklore woven through Dinefwr's Halloween celebrations. Along the way, encounter mysterious characters inspired by Welsh stories and seasonal traditions, brought to life through costume, performance and the atmospheric spaces of the house. From the unsettling tale of the Hwch Ddu Gwta to echoes of the Mari Lwyd, Ladi Wen, Dinefwr's ravens and other stories rooted in the people who have called Dinefwr home, each encounter reveals another piece of a world shaped by imagination, nature and generations of storytelling. This isn't a haunted house, but something stranger and more magical. A chance to explore what happens when old stories are allowed to inhabit old spaces. Come as dusk settles over Dinefwr, follow the stories through the house and discover what might be waiting around the next corner.
