- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Join Ronnie and Kathryn to dip into the paranoia about and persecution of those accused of witchcraft in the 1600s.
Under the floorboards of Newton House, there is a mummified cat. We believe that it was deliberately placed there in the mid-1600s to magically protect the house. What was the Dinefwr Cat protecting the residents from? Come and find out about the witch craze of the times and why people felt the need to take superstitious measures to keep themselves safe from supernatural harm.
Ymunwch â Ronnie a Kathryn i ymchwilio i’r paranoia ynghylch gwrachod ac erlyniaeth y rheiny a gyhuddwyd o fod yn wrachod yn y 1600au.
O dan lawr Tŷ Newton mae cath wedi mymïo. Credir ei bod wedi’i gosod yno’n fwriadol yng nghanol y 1600au i warchod y tŷ. Beth oedd Cath Dinefwr yn amddiffyn y trigolion rhagddo? Dewch i ddysgu am wallgofrwydd y cyfnod a pham roedd pobl yn teimlo'r angen i gymryd mesurau ofergoelus i gadw eu hunain yn ddiogel rhag niwed goruwchnaturiol.
