As part of the International Make Music Day festival, we’re proud to showcase an inspiring line up of local musical talent:
• Porthywaen Silver Band – Established in 1934, this beloved local band brings together musicians of all ages, from beginners to experienced performers. Expect a stirring, brass-filled performance! • Newtown & District Male Voice Choir – Formed in 1951, the choir has approximately 50 members from Newtown and the surrounding area. Their repertoire consists of songs in both English and Welsh, including traditional Welsh hymns, spirituals, songs from musicals, and other popular songs. • Hafren & Llanidloes Community Choir – directed by Charlotte Woodford, this acappella choir brings together keen singers from around Newtown and Llanidloes. Look forward to a joyful, energetic and fun performance.
Come along, soak up the music, and celebrate the magic of community and creativity on this special summer's day.
