Muslim Wales: Dr Abdul-Azim Ahmed in conversation about his new book
Dr Abdul-Azim Ahmed will be in conversation with Shane Logan, General Manager, at Powis Castle and Garden about his latest book Muslim Wales: A history in 9 places, and his wider research.
- Booking essential
Wales is a vibrant multicultural and multireligious nation, but the depth of the historic connections between Wales and Islam is less well known.
Join us in the Ballroom to hear from Dr Abdul-Azim Ahmed about his work exploring the stories which trace this shared history across centuries.
Powis Castle features as one of the nine places whose stories are explored in this fascinating book. The people, artefacts and buildings associated with each site tell a story of cross-cultural and linguistic influence, shared journeys and a history impacted by empire and colonialism.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions, and copies of the book will be available to buy and have signed.
